Pertrac Financial Solutions Nearly Doubles Staff in 2006
New York, NY (PRWeb) December 13, 2006 –- PerTrac Financial Solutions, LLC, creators of the PerTrac Suite of Investment Solutions, a unified front-and-middle office platform for investment analytics and workflow management, announced today that Dan Jacobs and Tim Knox have joined the company in senior sales positions. Gerry Mintz, president and CEO of PerTrac, said Messrs. Jacobs and Knox, who join this week, are the latest new-hires in a year of robust expansion for PerTrac that has nearly doubled its staff to meet the rising demand for software solutions for investment professionals in the burgeoning hedge fund industry.
Dan Jacobs has been named sales manager, North American major accounts, and Tim Knox has been named manager of the company’s newly created pre-sales technical support group, both based in PerTrac’s New York headquarters. They join Mark Weller and Tate Haymond on the senior sales leadership team, led by Daniel Simpson, managing director and global head of sales. “We are happy to welcome Tim and Dan, who each bring a wealth of experience and are great additions to our team,” said Mr. Simpson.
PerTrac has grown dramatically during 2006, answering client demand for its suite of analytical and workflow management tools. The company has hired more than 40 new employees, mostly in customer support functions, and broadened its footprint in North America, Europe and Asia. All departments, including global services and support, development, marketing, and sales, have expanded globally as investor interest in hedge funds and other alternative investments has intensified. The company’s current headcount stands at nearly 90.
“Our commitment to creating superior tools for the marketplace and providing top-notch customer support is clear,” stated Mr. Mintz. “We continue to invest deeply in all aspects of the company, from aggressive technical development to increasing our installation, service and support capacity, all aimed to satisfy client expectation and to expand our market share on a global basis.”
Mr. Jacobs, who will oversee the sales department’s North American major accounts team, has extensive experience in software sales, sales management and professional services. Prior to joining PerTrac, Mr. Jacobs managed a major accounts sales team at Symantec, with prior sales management roles at Mercator and American Management Systems. He is the former president of Systar Technologies, a professional services consultancy.
Mr. Knox, who has been named manager of pre-sales, has spent the past 16 years in the financial services industry. His prior experience includes more than 15 years with Thomson Financial, most recently managing regional operations in Japan, and global product management for Omgeo. Prior to Omgeo, Mr. Knox was responsible for Thomson Financial's investment software operations in the Asia Pacific region.
